You can tell I've been to the seaside recently, can't you. The Flinns, and Devines are directly ahead by the sandbank.

The beauty of the beaches in Brittany is that there is plenty of space. We were encamped by the sand dunes and by the time we packed up to go home, the tide had come right in.

Back Into the Woods

Image
SOLD I guess I'll forever be attempting to capture how I feel when I enter woods filled with sunlight. I was here just a few days ago and wish I was back again.

Breather

Image
SOLD
I was taking a breather at the same time as this youngster. It was a great day out in the waves. I'll have to check my journal, but I think it was Carnac in Morbihan.

Directly from the artist's garden.
Painting these gave me as much joy as I received earlier in the year watching them bathing in the glorious morning sun.

A Cutting From Eileen

Image
SOLDI couldn't resist...and I thoroughly enjoyed painting them. It's a sight to get anyone through winter. We grew them from a cutting from Eileen Flinn.

Seat By The Window Please

Image
SOLDI can't remember for my life where this is or even remember taking the photograph, but it was in my batch of old photos for resource material.

Rock Pools

Image
SOLD This is one of two paintings of the same scene...the other will have a young girl standing on one of those rocks wrapped in a towel and gazing out to sea. The location is right next to Featherbed Rock in Seaham (North East England).

Fuschia (Monday's painting)

Image
Click here for price and purchase details I took the photo some time ago...perhaps even last year, and decided I'd like to capture some of that colour. Wouldn't it be nice to have such colour in our gardens all year round. Some friends of ours who have long since passed away grew fuschia plants and regularly won prizes at the Chelsea flower show. I will always remember their dedication. We loved to be around the place.

Monet's Lilies Up Close

Image
SOLDI wanted to have another crack and get a little closer to this subject which has previously been painted.
This is Friday's painting posted on Saturday.

Goldfish

Image
SOLDI could sit and watch these for hours. There are hundreds of them in Yvon's pond in Brittany and they come darting as soon as bread is on offer.
