Casting Bread

6x6 Oil on board
This is the very same duck pond in Sunderland that I used to go tadpoling as a kid. I was there last week and caught this friendly little family ready for a snack.

I love the water, but I think the birdies need to be little more distinct, then it would be perfect.

Very colorful! I love how the ripples of the water bring the eye up do the birds.

I like this a lot. I know it is water, reflections and ducks at first glance.
Your pattern of light with the ripples linking to the ducks is wonderful, Ken.
The reds and pinks in the previous piece is special too.

You're so good with water! I love the mirror effect...reflections of the unseen foliage and the pretty swimmers.

Perfection will have to wait until I paint the larger one, Eileen...if it ever happens.

Thanks, Brad. I wasn't really aware while painting it, but yes, the ripples do bring the eye to the birds. Guess I was lucky.

Hi Khushi
Thanks for the compliment. Thinking about it...water has played a big part in my life.
